George was raised in Southern California and began his path to becoming a therapist while attending UCLA where he earned his Baccalaureate and Master’s Degrees. As a therapist in the field of behavioral health, George sought out a variety of clinical experiences that included the latest state-of-the-art, evidence-based practices. These included learning from the very best in the field who specialized in treating mood, anxiety and behavioral disorders. George has received training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Seeking Safety, and Psychodynamic theories. His training also includes specialized children-therapies, from infants to older youth, such as DIR Floortime, Triple-P, Aggression Replacement Therapy, Behavior Therapy and modified Dialectical Behavior Therapy for justice involved youth. George holds a Master of Business Administration degree, which in combination with his clinical experience provides consultation services to businesses in the areas of Organizational Change and Leadership.
George also provides supervision to therapists working towards earning their licenses in the state of California. In addition, he is contracted by various community mental health clinics to provide consultation services to clinical staff and treatment to patients through his private practice.
Through his private practice, George brings all of his experience and knowledge to his clients at various office locations across the Santa Clarita Valley. He is able to draw from his experience and training in the areas of cognitive-behavior, psychodynamic and interpersonal approaches to provide a tailored approach in therapy.
In addition to services found here, George has helped many law-enforcement officers work through job related stressors (such as trauma, burnout, and mandatory overtime) and its impact on their personal lives, families and loved ones. George assists law enforcement personnel deal with marital and family conflicts as well as provide reconciliation services. His ability to effectively work with law enforcement personnel is drawn from time served in the Marine Corps as part of combat units and military police. George also draws from his experience of over 13 years in Forensic Mental Health where he worked alongside peace officers treating incarcerated individuals who required assessment and therapeutic services.
George is involved in his local church, Real Life Church, in Santa Clarita, CA. He participates in their Men’s group and has been part of a community/life group for many years where he has developed many deep personal friendships. He attends their services along with his wife and children. George believes very deeply in the connection between mind, body and soul as a balanced approach to healthy living.
George is an enthusiast when it comes to sports and exercise. He loves to mountain bike in the hills of Castaic, weight training and endurance-based workouts. He also enjoys off-roading his truck, camping with friends and just being outdoors. George was born and raised in California and enjoys following UCLA Bruin sports.
